Parasites & Worms in Intestine

Millions of people are infected by the parasite worms worldwide. More than 100 types of parasites worms can be living happily in human bodies. Only about 5 percent of these varieties can be tested positively with only 20 percent accuracy.

Some parasites are big in size that can be seen by eyes, while the others are microscopic in size. Parasites can range from tiny amoebas which are visible only under a microscope, to tapeworms 3 - 30 feet in length. Hook worm

up to 1/2 inch long

They feed on patient's blood. The symptoms include abdominal pain, loss of appetite, craving to eat soil, iron and protein deficiency, dry skin and hair, skin irritations, delayed puberty, mental dullness, etc. In acute cases it can cause cardiac failure and death.

Pin worm or Threadworm (Enterobius vermicularis)
Most common worm. Common in children, about 500 million are infected worldwide.

up to 1/2 inch long.
They lay about 15 000 eggs per day at outer of anus.

The symptoms of pinworms include itching and irritation of the anus or vagina, digestive disorders, insomnia, irritation or nervousness. The worms come out of the anal opening to lay eggs at night. The eggs can pass to others through air or by contact with infected food. The eggs are not affected by disinfectants.
It passes from person to person. The eggs can be passed by direct contact, or through sharing of food, toys, etc.

Whip worm
several hundred million are infected worldwide.

1 to 2 inches long

The symptoms of whipworms are bloody stools, pain in the lower abdomen, weight loss, nausea, and anemia.

Tapeworm

up to 35 feet long. they lay million eggs per day

There are usually no symptoms of tapeworm. They are detected in the stool sample. The infected person may have dizziness, vomiting, hunger or loss of appetite or weight loss.


Signs of Worms / Parasite Symptoms

The following are the symptoms of worms or parasites. Note that these symptoms may be due to other reasons.

  1. Extreme skin rashes with blisters
  2. Food allergies or sensitivities
  3. Anemia due to blood loss
  4. Iron deficiency
  5. Constipation
  6. Gas and stomach bloating
  7. Fatigue, tiredness, depression, and a lack of concentration.
  8. Nervousness, anxiety, and restlessness.

Signs of Parasites / Worms in Children


The following are the symptoms of worms or parasites in children. Note that these symptoms may be due to other reasons.

  1. Blisters on the inside of the lower lip
  2. Restlessness at night
  3. Grinding of the teeth at night
  4. Dark circles under the eyes
  5. Hyperactive
  6. Bed wetting
  7. Headaches, sensitive to light, twitching eyelid,
  8. Gum, rectum, or nose bleeding
  9. Itchy feeling around anus, inflammation of the vagina in girls and women. See threadworms, a 1cm thread-like worm, in child's stools.

Home Remedy of Worms / Parasites Treatment

Bed linens and garments of the person infected with pinworms must be washed thoroughly. It spreads to others.

  1. Take 1/2 tsp of powdered fenugreek seeds (dana methi) with water for a few days.
  2. Eat a few tomatoes in the morning empty stomach to throw out the worms.
  3. Eat cranberries or papayas (paw paw) frequently. Fasting on raw pineapples for three days kills tapeworm. Cranberries, papaya and fresh pineapple contain enzymes that are anti-parasitic.
  4. Fry 5-10 seeds of bitter melon (Karela ) in a little ghee. Take 2-3 times a day.
  5. Use cloves with every meal. It will help kill the eggs from parasites in the intestinal tract.
  6. Pumpkin seeds and onions mixed with soy milk is a good remedy for worms.
  7. For pinworms, eat bitter melon (bitter gourd, karela).
  8. Drink 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water to prevent worms.
  9. Eat only raw pineapples for three days to kill tapeworms.
  10. The most effective treatment in the large intestine is to cleanse the colon with ozonated water and hydrogen peroxide by colonic irrigation.
  11. Herbal Remedy: Herbal remedies work best on an empty stomach.
    Take tincture of garlic, pomegranate or pumpkin seeds to treat worms conditions.
